WAKIZASHI by IGA KAMI KINMICHI   (55 cm.)

This Wakizashi by Nidai Kinmichi was polished by the late Kentaro Yoshikawa, polisher for the Imperial Sword Collection, and it has been said by several knowledgeable judges that this is the best work by this smith that they have seen. Works by the Mishina School are always attractive and this sword is especially so. It is a rather large, wide blade that has a nice Gonome Choji Midare Hamon, bears a two piece silver Habaki and is mounted in Shirasaya. It is also accompanied by an N.B.T.H.K. Hozon Origami, but I have no doubt it will achieve Tokubetsu Hozon, if submitted.

Price: $8,950.
